So, now move on to our current topic which is the intermediate method to speed up your Android smartphone.

On this topic we especially focus on Android animation scale, Android smartphones and tablets display animations when moving between apps and screens. These animations look very polished and cool, but they waste time and especially the speed of your android device.

We can improve the time taken or say the speed to move or switch between apps and screens. But if you are happy with the animations then you can leave those as it or you can set them according to your preference, the larger you increase the animation scale the larger time it takes to switch between apps and screens.

If you are confused between the speed and animation then you can also try each of the scale of animation scale and test all the scales successively and at last choose that one which suits you.
The steps are following to access Developer menu and alter the animation scale:

  • Firstly, we’ll need to access the Developer Options menu. It’s hidden by default so Android users won’t stumble across it unless they’re actually looking for it.
  • To access the Developer menu Open the settings screen on your device.

  • Scroll Down or Tap the More tab on the screen according to your device Android version it vary.

  • Tap on the About device option.

  • Scroll down to the Build number field and tap it repeatedly up to Seven times. After completing the Seventh Tap on the build number field, you’ll see a message appear saying “You are now a developer!”

  • Now you can access the Developer option.

  • Open the Developer Options screen and slide the switch at the top of the screen to On or You may not need to do so depending upon your Android version it was pre started.

  •  If you ever want to re-enable the animations and revert your changes, all you have to do is slide the Developer Options switch back to Off.

  • Now Scroll down to the Drawing section.

  • Under the Drawing section you will find three Option named:

  1. Window animation scale

  2. Transition animation scale

  3. Animator duration scale

  • Tap the Window animation scale, a window will pop out with so many scaling option as like it shown in the image.

  • Choose the desired scale which suits you, you can also turn it off by tapping the Animation off option.

  •  Do the same scale selection with Transition animation scale and animator duration scale respectively.(You can choose different scales for the three predefined option but I recommend to keep it as low as possible for example:- Animation scale 0.5x)

  •  That’s all, we are done but the changes won’t take effect immediately, it would only took effect after you restart your android Launcher or simply you can also restart your device.

Now whenever you open an app or switch between app or screens, it will Switched or Open as quickly as possible.

If you set the Animation scale to minimum then it will increase the device rendering speed and also helps you to switch between apps which will consequently improve the multitasking processes.
